Google has recently announced the latest phones in the Pixel lineup. Details are still scarce as Google is choosing to slowly release information ahead of the formal launch.

What we know so far:

• Chip: Google Tensor (custom chip by Google)
• Screen: 6.4-inch AMOLED @ 90 Hz (Pixel 6) / 6.7-inch AMOLED @ 120 Hz (Pixel 6 Pro)
• Camera: wide + ultrawide (Pixel 6) / wide + ultrawide + 4x telephoto (Pixel 6 Pro)

Major redesign will probably be in 2023, notch might be gone then. Current design has already gone through 4 iterations.

Everyone said the same about the 6P back in the day though and then when they saw it in person they liked it a lot more. So I wonder if it'll be the same case for these phones.

Google has announced the Pixel 5a with 5G, which will launch on August 26.

Only available in the US and Japan (for now).

Price: $449

They're really doing it no favors by putting the front and back shot side by side. It already looks bulky, they should have left a small slit of space to make them look slimmer.

It’s a really good mid-range phone. 5G, insane camera software, huge battery, good screen size, decent chipset.

The software looks nice and the specs are decent. They just need a designer for the shell.

And also sort out quality control and supply chain. The Pixel line could be a hit tbh. They don't come with the usual bloatware from third-party manufacturers.
