I've kinda come to peace with the mixed/negative reviews but a box office bomb would tear me apart I mean of course she can't always succeed in movies (just like she hasn't always succeeded in music) but it's kinda frustrating knowing how she revolved her last 2 years of her career around this, it now appears like a "waste of time" which again isn't because she's being generally praised and keeps her in the Hollywood map but still...

As much as I love him I’d say The Weeknd kinda lacked in the hit singles department after After Hours tbh, the biggest ones weren’t even meant for his projects (Creepin’ or Moth to a Flame)

I think lead video and visuals are already shot, maybe the black hair was related to that I also think LG7 was supposed to come this summer but then they changed plans and DWAS replaced it because no way she would have teased it in May already only for it to come almost a year later

The way that song performed makes me wonder about her infamous potential comeback She had comeback hype, straight to #1 on TTH + cover, attached to big movie, tribute to Chadwick Boseman narrative, Oscars performance and yet it gets outstreamed by Hold My Hand Like if she ever comes back with music they won’t surely do her dirty but if music isn’t on par with expectations it might be a mess

2014-16 was truly abominable for her mainstream status (although she was busy doing excellent work to fix her brand), the way she went from 2009-11 grandeur to that was… And now she’s the #1 female picking that list since Taylor and Billie weren’t there
