hello rats!

i listen to a lot of music, both accidentally and on purpose, which has resulted in me owning 430+ CDs but nobody to talk about them to apart from the endless void! so i'm here to do something NOBODY asked for:

 share my opinions on a megathread! 

each album will get a rating of up to 5 tom hiddleston's!

    

anyone is more than welcome to join in the discussion or even suggest albums, just be nice and gentle with me and each other

i mean what can i say apart from talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, sh!t on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it. i think we can all agree, despite the unfortunate state of the era, this album was what we all wanted, needed and craved from miss L. Gaga

Flip Phone Fantasy - Ocean Grove

Released: March 2020

Genres: Nu metal, rap metal, grunge, alternative metal

i have been GUSHING over this album since march because i simply! cannot! get! enough!!! i think it pulls off a wonderful throwback to early 2000s rock bands with songs like Ask For The Anthem and Shimmer. if you enjoy loud instrumentals, harsh vocals and in-your-face tunes, i heavily recommend listening. 5 toms out of 5!!!

ok... katy... you're a pop icon and all but henny what is dis...? i've never liked a katy perry album from start to finish but this album just seems so uninspired. it's sounds i've heard before, lyrics i've seen before and i really was holding out for some sort of artistic growth from katy but i guess she's happy with just making easily digested pop music. 2 toms out of 5

Not her best song in years being a skip.  I agree with the rest of the review though. She really needs to step out of her comfort zone.

Who Are The Girls? - Nova Twins

Genre: Rock, metal

oh my lord, what an incredible debut from the london based power metal duo! an ESSENTIAL listen to fans of metal and rock, these ladies are fearless and unforgiving. they will grab you by the wig, shake you up and down like a doll, punch you in the face and then kiss you goodnight, a full wash cycle of guitars/drums/vocals/talent. this album is tied for my 2020 AOTY (excluding gaga cus bias). 5 TOMS OUT OF 5!!!
