Although The Velvet Rope is probably my favorite Janet record, I'll always have a special place in my heart for Rhythm Nation! My older sister used to blast Escapade on these really old school Bose speakers my dad got when he met my mom lol. Good memories!

Rhythm Nation is my fave of hers too, she really delivered with that 1-2-3-4-5-6 punch from Control to Damita Jo

I just finished listening to her discography yesterday. What a great discography ugh. Rhythm Nation was probably my favorite. Even the 2 first albums were cute, I was afraid I wouldn't like them because they weren't successful (sometimes there's a reason for that lol) but they just weren't as unique as the albums that followed
