Queen Elizabeth II will not attend Opening of Parliament due to mobility issues

The British Royal family is always inventing new and exciting ways to fumble the moment. 

If she's up for it, I could think of nothing better than her beeping around in a chair & advocating for people w/ mobility issues! But if she is like generally over it or periodically going through some serious stuff, she could/should abdicate and pass the baton to ensure goodwill. Both would be such PR layups. 

They really make it so hard for themselves.
