EU to make child sexual abuse material detection mandatory

The European Commission plans to enforce mandatory detection of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on digital platforms. The law would also compel tech companies to remove the material and report to law enforcement.

The law would require the scanning of text messages too, which effectively means no end-to-end encryption.

And this is EXACTLY why I was against such use of this technology. Governments are going to take advantage of it and spy on everyone.
