born in the 90s but raised mostly on 60s-80s music

Also 90s dude here. Radio and my parents introduced me to 80s rock. About 8 years ago, my appreciation for it increased because my favorite show Supernatural used amazing classic rock tracks. I always go back to rock when I'm tired of pop

i mean, there's definitely a lot of new metal this year. But imo, there's no competition :oscar:

I haven't had enough time for metal this year but for alternate, Pearl Jam has my vote. I can NOT get enough of this amazing song holy sh!t. They got the title right, I feel like the bridge and final chorus is a ritualistic chant

I've been loving Greta Van Fleet lately. They remind me so much of Led Zeppelin.

I'll give them a listen soon. What do you guys think about the new Tame Impala?

Hotel California Hell Freezes over is the only live version I prefer over any rock srudio version.  That opening riff whew. And when people realize what song is playing--chills everytime.

I would also like to recommend Radio Company

I've never heard their old sound. Was the change drastic? Cuz Borderline sounds really groovy.

They experimented with psychedlic rock before. That's when I started paying attention

I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. It sounds both like an old grunge track that also feels fresh somehow. Their three different videos for it also seem appropriate and I can't choose which one I like best.

One of my top music videos of all time

Pretty good list. I have a spotify playlist if anybody wants it
