Madonna was fifty when she released MDNA. Beyonce is only in her early 40s. And there's no way she's matching COTDF's total CSPC  It was the biggest album in Europe.

Not undermining Madge’s success, the early 2000s and 2010s were very physical and digital (iTunes) heavy where pop/RnB kinda skewed heavy on the charts whereas it’s much harder to do so now in the landscape unless you’re Taylor. So I don’t think we can really compare success from different generations tho

Well with 31 new tracks her fanbase doesn't have much time left to stream her catalogue so I think that's why. 

I also noticed that usually right before an album of hers was released her song shoot up the top 200 but none of that happened this time, though.

I don't get Expresso's success to be honest. A very basic song. Illusion is more interesting.
