blastertoyo Pronounshe/she/they/blaster ARTPOPster 1,319
Hunnies I have a pregunta. What makes a song catchy vs repetitive? I know repetitive helps but sometimes too repetitive can be bad. So where is the middle ground? I know PokerFace and Alejandro are catchy for example but also endlessly repetitive.

Is catchy vs repetitive like this uncanny valley? like is this catchy? Or repetitive?

nynj nights Pronounsshe/her Popster to Popster 3,689
How do y’all feel about “Alice”? For me the catchiness of the lyrics make up for the repetition. The first time I heard it, I was begging for more by the end! But now I think the conciseness is in its favor. Alice is very repetitive and it’s probably because of the way the song is structured.
