Captain Sir Tom Moore was a WWII veteran, who raised £39m for NHS charities during the first lockdown by pledging to walk 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday.

He went on to break two Guinness world records, becoming the oldest person to get a No. 1 single in the UK chart, as well as raising the most money for doing a solo charity walk.

He was knighted by the Queen in July last year for his fundraising efforts.

I've never heard of him before but he seems really sweet and cute and I'm glad he seems to have a really amazing life. We love people who lead with kindness first. RIP Sir.

I came here to say exactly the same. May he rest in peace, a true knight.
