Biden Completes Cabinet, Considered Bernie Sanders

President-elect Joe Biden completes his cabinet with the final nomination, labor secretary, going to Marty Walsh, the mayor of Boston.

Bernie Sanders was considered for the role but both parties didn't want to risk the Democrats' control of the Senate.

Unfortunate but I think both parties know it's necessary Bernie stays. We can't lose a seat now that we have majority.

As much as I'd love the symbology of it, I think Bernard leading as the Chairman of the Budget Committee is where he should be

Yeah, exactly. Too dangerous of a risk. Same with Warren.

I do hope they can make something work before long to get them in. I'd be fine with Bernie not running when his term is up to endorse another Dem-leaning senator and taking a larger federal position.
