EDIT: I took a breather and slept, now I fully get it (lol). I'm so happy for her to feel comfortable enough to be fully open about her identity. This is a big step for kid entertainment.

At the ripe age of 17 too 

I think it was a really smart choice to do it at that age as a public figure because it effectively sends a message to her younger following and her older following at the same time. She’s also old enough for people to “take her seriously”
