thats a weird rule, CFN had none of these issues. It just charted on billboard as CFN (in canada/us) and elsewhere Future Nostalgia - which would be ideal for Gaga tbh.

But at least the week later it could mean Chromatica will get 3-4 more weeks on BB200 when they do combine the units and chromatica starts out-selling the remix

What's weird about it? It's been explained a million times, about a million times. I bow down...

Sorry. AFAIK, nothing prevents Chromatica from charting this week if it sells enough pure copies to make BB200. The SEA+TEA for the same songs (or versions) will rightly be attributed only to 1 album, though, which this week will certainly be DOC. Hit album FN collapsed the week CFN destroyed records with a 2.5M opening on Spotify since Radio ads have had little impact on people buying the album. After Hours + GH flipped back-and-forth a few times, and Starboy came in and out of the BB200, too, though.

Obviously both will not chart this week (BB200) since the OG's pure sales will be far too low 1.5 later. Regardless, this seems like a fair approach for remix / greatest hits albums in the streaming era. BB is super inconsistent in adapting, though, since artists can still release "the garden gnome" remixes to boost 1 single in 1 tracking week, but hey... 

If this gets Chromatica more longevity on BB200, it's a win. AFAIK, The Remix, BTW: The Remix, Very Gaga Holiday had their own runs, which is unfortunate, especially for BTW, which could've used the boost toward the end of its 1st year.

More like, dreaming that a more extensive live / acoustic album had been released at the time if the rules would've ensured that it'd boost the parent album (wouldn't have happened regardless, of course).

i feel like the SEA+TEA being the same and the pure being different means that in the UK, they shipped Chromatica vinyls this week.

So Chromatica is charting above DOC based on its pure. It's cute C-word will break its J-word tie, DOC should get a top 60 peak at least - some of these artists have never charted in their lives so i bet they will be happy.

I hope chromatica will get more weeks on billboard, it should start out-selling the remix pretty quickly so even if it can scrape along the bottom its cute.
