Honestly it is tragic how pure sales have just been destroyed in the streaming era. I wonder how long will the streaming era last and what will replace it. Currently I cannot see what could replace it, but the way there is some pushback against how low the streaming royalties are, the end of it may be sooner than we all think.

Streaming is the inevitable endpoint for most media. Movies, TV series, music will all move to streaming services and only physical sales will survive. Digital sales will die out as they were just a transitional tool until streaming could take over.
