RIP Angel 1,992

I love The Son of Man by René Magritte.

I love the mystery behind it. I actually reinterpreted it for an album cover.

Spoliarium by our local artist Juan Luna also speaks so much about our history. I saw it once and it was huge.

'Tree Roots' by Vincent Van Gogh too, but I love it because of the story behind it, not so much the painting itself.

Oh, and Lady Gaga. She's a work of art.:ally:

I really love the theatre. I try to see as much as I can when they're/the world is functioning.

Can't wait to join @BenG to a West End show later this year.

During my semester in my Ancient History program, the huge project at the end of the year was to study a famous painting and how she would describe the world when she was painted. I did a whole paper research on Les hasards heureux de l'escarpolette or The Swing from Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1767)

I received 97%. I was so proud.

I was a theatre major and miss it :bradley:. My ex of many, many years was a progressional actor so I lived through him and would direct his auctions sometimes, haha.

Ok, my favorite musical productions from Broadway (year I saw it):

  • Hamilton (2016)
  • Spring Awakening (2008?)
  • The Color Purple (2016)
  • Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2014)

Favorite plays

  • The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (2014)
  • Slave Play (2019)

Me, not seeing ONE!!! mention of Legally Blonde! The Musical: u h h h

srysly tho the musical is imo leagues beyond the movie version...ESPECIALLY THE BALLAD ELLE DOES AT THE END !!!

Other solid musicals are Anastasia, Evita, Book of Mormon, and while I think it only ran in the La Jolla Theatre, The Hunchback of Notre Dame !!! an ICONIC tenor role, esp. the Made of Stone high note....LORDDDD
