Why is Nike arguing re-selling modified sneakers (a rather common practice) infringes on Nike's trademark when they could stoke a Satanic panic and disavow devil worshippers?

Both are losing strategies but at least the latter is fun.

Not surprised tbh. All Nike cares about is profit. They did Colin Kaepernick dirty, refused to give their sponsored women athletes maternity protections, and now this  Too many recent strikes against them to my liking
