This election probably doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Biden being a “lesser evil” than Trump is not a great selling point. He is still unclear on whether he’ll ban fracking or not and he’s not as progressive as people make him out to be. Hundreds of thousands of people will die at the hands of either Biden and Trump. That’s just my opinion though.

yikes, imagine being so uninformed you actually think they're the same. That's an ignorant and privileged position to take, bc so many people's lives will be demonstrably better if Biden wins and gets the pandemic under control.

If you're a woman, person of color, trans, lesbian/gay/bi/queer, immigrant, have disabilities, and/or are not wealthy, your life will be worse under another Trump administration. Already we have seen the damage of the Supreme Court shifting balance, we have hundreds of thousands of people dead in the US from the pandemic, plus on top of that people with long-lasting damage to their bodies, not to mention the families separated at the border, the greater damage that the Trump administration is doing to the environment, etc.

Biden is by no means an ideal candidate, and he was close to my bottom choice during the primaries, but I'll take tuna and pea casserole (hate both tune and peas) over another four years of a sh*t sandwich any day.

People who don’t realize that Trump and Biden are very similar in both ways are the ones that are uninformed. For example, Biden talked about needing a “nuclear-free Korean Peninsula” when it’s the United States that stationed nuclear weapons in South Korea beginning in 1958. Joe Biden is simply another imperialist war criminal and people who believe he’s a lesser evil than Trump probably hasn’t even seen his foreign policies. He even stated that he’s willing to put more sanctions on DPRK.

If Joe Biden wins, foreign civilians will still be bombed. Biden has even negatively affected the lives of Black people in the United States for decades. Do you realize how many people were deported when he was Vice President? The fact that cages that currently hold immigrant children were built under the Obama administration? Another selling point of Biden’s campaign is that he wants to reduce the effect of climate change. If so, why did Obama increase oil production and fracking?

It’s actually a privileged position to not understand that BIPOC will still be negatively affected no matter who wins. We shouldn’t encourage people to vote for a  politician behind the guise of progressiveness.

incredibly privileged fo ryou to say that though. Hundreds of millions of people in the Global South don't give a sh!t about which party operates the crushing machine of American imperialism

This is the America centric take on this election though. If youre a marginalized person of color, even in the US, your life is oppressed regardless of which oppressor you choose to put in office.

voting isn't harm reduction, it's harm displacement
