Canadian Digital Songs

2 (6) 2 Hold My Hand (New Peak)

Canada is stanning. I would expect nothing else from them. After all, ROM was in the Canada Billboard Top 10 for over 10 weeks.

I've seen a lot of comment saying she's a streaming poison. Hum Am I the only one thinking she's actually doing quite great for a 2000s / 2010s pop star ? I mean she managed to grab people who are streaming (mainly young people) to her old music catalogue and getting great and stable numbers on her old hits and doing very fine numbers on her last solo project.

I just think the main target of Top Gun project (not only the the music) is people who were young in the 80s when  first movie was released. Not a big fan of the movie but just looking the general aspect of their commercial strategy you can easily see they are playing on the nostalgia's side. The young audience who is usually streaming music on Spotify are just not their main target.

So just be be happy with those strong radio numbers (few years ago she had big issues to get her songs played on the radios) . The more she's aging the less chances she has to get all of her music on TTH and making 5M streams debuts. I'm sure she'll release other projects that will have that target in the future.

Look if it bombs after the movie then I’ll humbly take the L and accept it as a flop :bigbird:

Right now radio is promising and everything else is just icing on the cake until May 27th :bigbird:

I will be fine, if they give it proper playlisting during movie release.

If it still bombs, then it is what it is. But I am tired of them not pushing Gaga singles rightfully, she and her songs deserves better.

A Popster Is Born 17,079

#59 on Amazon Music US and #44 on Amazon Music UK.

New peaks on both. Amazon is single-handedly carrying HMH in the UK. No wonder it's still top 50 this week.
