Is Cyndi Lauper underrated?

absolutely

while i dont really care for much of her music after her first two albums, i do think that she deserves more recognition like madonna has gotten. the two of them were like.. the main pop girls in the early 80's.. I mean, they helped establish the blueprint for the wannabe artists of that era, like Paula Abdul, Taylor Dayne, Stacey Q, Bonnie Tyler, etc.
