Also I would be very happy if "Everything I Wanted" won ROTY or SOTY. "Don't Start Now" is also great song and will probably sweep.

Harry Styles deserves something. :gunga:

Told yaaaa!

Truly shocked Billie won. That song IS incredibly, absolutely deserving, but still shocked. Congrats to her. I think she’s genuinely as surprised as the rest of us.

Lemme me listen to FINNEAS as I fall asleep tonight

I wondered that too. Must be pretty rare if it’s happened.

This is why I really don’t like the eligibility periods...

song from 2019 wins record of the year for 2020 in 2021

Yeah, I wish they’d change that too. I get it, but meh.

Honestly this year should be the year that changes the eligibility period. They pushed the ceremony back so they should push eligibility

Yes. Roberta Flack in 1973 and 1974. U2 in 2001 and 2002.

U2’s were for records from the same album.

Wow, its surprising how much the Grammys spread the love around: SOTY,ROTY, AOTY, Pop Solo, Pop Duo, Pop Album all had different winners and I like it. This spreading of the awards gave a chance for more speeches and awarded more artists.

In a year where everyone debuted at #1 for a week. It seems fitting

Beyoncé is now the most awarded female artist with 28 wins (second overall).

Taylor Swift becomes the first and only female artist to win AOTY three times.

Some thoughts on the Grammys.

Well it is interesting to see that Taylor was able to win AOTY with losing BPVA. This hasn't happed in the previous 10 years (and maybe ever). This probably signals that Dua and Taylor were close in BPVA or that Taylor got lots of love from the Alternative/Country block during the AOTY vote which is not improbable.

Gaga is a Grammy darling, ROM won mainly thanks to Gaga.

It was good that they gave some love to POC in the main categories: Megan deserves BNA as she had a huge year in 2020. I can't breathe is a deserving winner for SOTY.

I am kind of eh on Billie winning ROTY. I love her and I love the song, but considering she sweeped last year, it feels like this year feels too soon?

Beyoncé is the most awarded performer of any gender
