When she’s rehearsing for the Super Bowl, why does Born This Way have totally different vocals?

They're not that different :) Certainly more distant and relaxed. She doesn't have a real mic to capture it up close.

And it's definitely live which is really good. She was rehearsing with live vocals.

They're probably pre-recorded like how the band has pre-recorded versions of the live songs like what Richy played for the VMA 911 choreography

I noticed that too! I that’s a feeling she did like a one take vocal recording of the whole show just for the mix and rehearsal purposes.
