Gaga's team should take note

her SPOTIFY PUSH really is so aggressive :icant:

Because people love listening to Dua and she is really popular today. Gaga used to have big push on other platforms when she was at her peak too

Levitating is still played on US radios. It is quite a smash hit.

If payola was involved that much it would be nowhere to be seen on US  radios top 100 right now (currently #54 on Kworb)

When she's not active or releasing, pride in terms of her streams just adds a song that should be in her top 10 anyway as it sold 10m copies (BTW) and takes momentum off other songs :bebe:
Mark my words though: SL will benefit fron the mini boost and finally go platinum after 3+ years in UK
ROM/Chromatica should in France as SL went platinum 3 months after its 3 year annviersary :talent:

BTW's (song) stats are really tragic. It shows how frontloaded it was, and how little longevity it has.

A few years ago I read somewhere that BTW (song) was a successful single ONLY becouse of the hype post-TFM Gaga was coming from. And that almost any song she would have choosen as the lead, would have been equally succesful.

So, maybe this little longevity and poor stats shows how the song is not (and hasn't ever been) great, but was only released in the right context for it to have a quick success.

BTW (the song) is a gay anthem, it can appeal mostly for the gay community who is of course not a large public

so not surprised by its poor longevity and stats

so yeah BTW (the song) was very successful because Gaga was literally coming from the biggest era of the 2000s

every song she would’ve released during this time would’ve smashed so

BTW was front loaded. But longetivity means nothing when measuring how "great" a song is. And it's true that any song Gaga released after TFM would have been huge due to the amount of hype she had going into the era. It also might have been beneficial to her career long term if she chose something more GP friendly and less "gay". But thats one of the reasons why BTW is so great.

Lets get something straight, Gaga released Born This Way at the height of her music career. She used her imperial phase to scream to the public that its okay to be LGBT. Just 3 years prior, California, one of the gayest states in the USA, voted to ban gay marriage. People want to act like Gaga was just bandwagon onto Gay Rights for popularity, but no, it was not some amazing time to be LGBT when she released BTW in 2011. There was still alot of rampant homophobia in our culture(and there still is sadly).

Who cares about its recurrent stats(and they're really not bad, especially when compared to other 2011 hits), it was a song about loving yourself no matter what. Gaga put her neck on the line for the gay community, its great song, and a pride class. So spare us with an attempt to try and invalidate it as front loaded and not great.
