Slasher - Spooktober Edition

Welcome to Slasher - a game where the civilians try to survive while the killers try to eliminate everybody else. For the first ever Slasher in Pop-A-911 history, we will be having an occult October theme!

The roles:

Civilian(s)

You are the hapless travelers trying to visit your loved ones for a lovely fall dinner/family reunion. For some reason, the GPS started getting buggy, and you took a turn into a dirt road that your loved one swore was an old shortcut to your home town. And as the night starts to creep, the crisp autumn air begins to send a chill down your spine. What awaits you down the road? Will you reach your family in time for that nice warm soup, a good slice of roast beef or turkey and that delicious pie?

Objective: Your goal is to avoid getting killed during night time. You and your fellow civilians will be in the same group chat together. During the day, you may form a mob and attack a player you think might be a killer.

Wins: if at least one civilian is the last player standing

Demon(s)

You are the nasty minions of darkness and evil. You want to kill as many innocent as possible just because you can. You enjoy their screams. You like to torture them and make them suffer before you go for the kill.

Objective: Kill all civilians. You will all be in one group chat and can decide who you want to kill during night time.

Wins: if all civilians die before the last demon is exorcised

Witch

Ever since you were a child, you always seem to know what another person thinks. When you were 7, you accidentally set your birthday cake on fire. By the time you started dating, you could move things with your mind. Over time, you began to harness energy around you to do your bidding. But magic is a dangerous and unstable art, and even the best witches need proper materials and enough time to cast spells. Will you use your talent to help the helpless, or will you use it to seek more power and gain the upper hand against mortals?

Objective: Be the last player standing -OR- ally with civilians/demons.

Wins: if you are the last player left alive, or if your chosen alliance wins.

Special abilities:

• You may brew a potion of protection every other night and secretly give it to a player. They will be immune to death for the next 24 hours (one cycle of day and night). You may use this on yourself.
• You may ask the powers-that-be to resurrect a fallen player ONCE during the entire game. Doing so will reveal your role to everybody.
• You may bargain with the pale horseman Death and cast a deadly spell to kill any player ONCE during the entire game. Doing so will reveal your role to everybody.

Ancient god/goddess

Your real name cannot be spoken by the mortal tongue. You have come to being long before man walked the earth. You have seen the seas rise and consume fallen empires. You have awakened from your slumber and you hunger. You realize your ancient temple has long since crumbled, and puny creatures have chosen your sacred site as their playground. With your high priest buried deep underground and your hallowed scripture washed away by centuries of rain, you have decided to take things to your hand and claim any death as sacrifice to your glory.

Objective: Sow chaos and bathe in the blood of the fallen to extend your power and domain

Wins: if you witness five days and five nights without getting killed*

Special abilities;

• As an ancient being you are difficult to kill. You can survive any form of death as long as you are given enough time to restore.  If you are targeted twice in less than 48 hours (2 cycles of day and night), however, you will realize even a god can die.
• Your hunger is insatiable. You require sacrifice to fuel your power. ONCE during the game, you may select a player and consume their flesh.

Seer

Spoiler

You have been touched by an angel and given the gift of sight. Many consider it a blessing, but sometimes it almost feels like a curse. You can foresee the bright future, but you can also glimpse the horrors of the night. You want to help others, but your strange gift has caused others to distrust you. Thus, you must seek out the civilians in order to help them. Be wary, for other powers may misuse your heaven-sent gift.

Objective: Help the civilians.

Wins: if civilians win. Even if you die, you are promised salvation by helping the helpless.

Special ability:

• every night, you may ask to reveal the role of a player

Hunter/Slayer

Spoiler

You are a warrior sworn to fight the forces of darkness and evil. You know just about anything about ghosts, monsters and demons. You know how to counter every mystical and paranormal threat. Your life is hard, and the choices you make even harder. Some consider you an outcast, but such is the path of the monster hunter and the demon slayer.

Objective: End the forces of darkness.

Wins: If all mystical roles are eliminated (witch (if evil), ancient god(dess), demons.

Loses: If you accidentally kill a civilian

Special Ability:

• You are immune to attacks from witch, demons and ancient god(dess). The civilians can kill you however, if you act too suspicious.
• You can kill any character every other night. Be careful! If you kill a civilian, you lose the game.

Notes:

1. Roles and rules will be adjusted depending on the playerbase.
2. The more players we have, the better.
3. I may come up with new roles to help balance the game.
4. I am required to be invited for every group chat.
5. Make sure you have enough space in your inboxes.
