I know the rumors are that the 12.9 will be first with the mini-LED, but I bet both it and the 11 come out at the same time (if anything, the 11 might get a slight bump to differentiate it from the Air a bit). I'd be very surprised for them to ONLY update the larger at this stage in the iPad's history.

Did I read correctly that you NEED the case in order to charge these? I just took another look at the Apple website, and that seems to the case. That seems really insane to me. At this price, the lack of wireless charging is also surprising to me. Just a lot of negative wows from me.

I don't think so. It's just a standard Lightning charger.

I bet these were largely, if not fully, still designed under his watch. I think the next revision to iPhone will be first design fully free of his care; maybe too, the redesigned laptops that should start coming out next year the M series chips.
