It happened because a) I was lucky enough that M&Gs were still available when I went onto Ticketmaster to buy Enigma tickets; b) capitalism –– i.e., I had to fork over $2000 bucks! I completely disregarded the handler's advice and stood in front of her, held her hand, leaned in and talked to her. She was very normal. I felt like I was speaking to a new acquaintance I'd just met at a party. I think I took her by surprise because I asked her about something from a long time ago (one of my friends was her teacher during a summer program –– my friend is older than me), back from her pre-fame days, and then we were talking and laughing for a few seconds before the photographer started barking out directions. I rushed to pose, but I didn't finish posing in time, so my M&G photo shows me still looking at her instead of the camera, with my arm in mid-air, a smirk on my face from laughing. At some point I also hugged her, though I'm not really sure when. Peter pulled me away, which caught me off-guard because there was no verbal warning, no tap on the shoulder, just suddenly someone grabbing my arm. 

My whole experience was probably under 10 seconds. I was walking out with other people, and one girl gave the double middle finger back to the M&G area and called it a scam and screamed, "There goes two mother-f*cking thousand dollars down the drain!" A lot of people were disappointed. 

We were supposed to meet her again after J&P (we didn't buy M&Gs for that but had stage seats, which came with M&Gs as a bonus –– had we known, we never would've gotten the M&Gs for Enigma), but I was recovering from a broken leg, and when her security saw me limping on the way back from the bathroom between acts and leaning on the usher for support (I was wearing high heels and a long dress that kept tripping me, and like I said, I had a broken leg), they thought I was too drunk to walk properly and banned us from the M&G. In case you're wondering, I was not too inebriated too walk properly, it was a temporary disability from recovering from breaking my leg in two places; I wouldn't go on to finish PT and lose the limp until two months later.

Yeah, I'd rather meet her in a less hectic setting. It sounds like folks who met her at the group M&Gs (Artrave?) got a better deal because they got like 90 minutes with her. This experience made me realize I have no desire ever again to pay to meet a celebrity. 

Yes, the other part was quite infuriating. I decided not to pursue legal action, though I did contact the theatre and talk to a higher-up there and file a complaint, and I also had a long talk with LG's personal assistant later that night and sent a letter to her team.

CS and humanities cross over people are the best people so congratulations I feel like we're a rare breed but nobody can compare.

I grew up thinking I hated roller coasters until I let some friends bully me into going on Mount Everest a few years ago and holy sh!t it snatched my wig off at the end.  It's so good!

I vaguely remember reading your story about the first M&G there. I'm still sorry  That Enigma situation is SO angering, even to me, and I did not experience it. I can't even fathom, and it's disgusting. What an insult to someone that was dealing with a broken leg.

 In my opinion, it should be labeled "photo opt" and be very clear it is just that. A M&G sounds like time you spend with her as a group, and then 5 or so minutes per person, sort of like how it seemed it was back in the day, with a very very limited amount of people. I don't know, I feel like Gaga may be done with M&G's and that is ok, but they should not label these things as M&G's.
