Globalvision is a very fun and addictive game made for music lovers and popsters all over the world. This game was created by @TeenIdle. Special mention also to @DesertWolf for his beautiful wikipedia on the game. 

★ ★ HOW TO PARTICIPATE ★ ★

 1 ➞ Select a country (NOT RIGHT NOW)

The first thing to do in this game is to represent a country. All of the players who will sign up for Globalvision S1 will receive a notification the moment the thread for the season will be created. The moment the thread is up, you have to post your chosen country. You have to be quick, you want to represent a certain country that other players might also have in mind. First-come, first-served.

2 ➞ Select an artist

UPDATE: Your artist should not be well-known across the forum. Don't pick A,B or C-list stars nor Gay Icons that we all know. They are nobodies and you are giving them the biggest moment of their career.

Once you have your country, you now have to choose your underground artist to represent it.

Your artist must NOT be famous-famous. They are underground, and have a very small fanbase. They shoulnd't be a topic on the forum (to avoid favoritism) and shoulnd't be well-recognized. You can haunt down new underground artists or local legends who are unknown worldwide, or at least to this forum. (My best advice for this would be to search throughout the vast playlists offered by Spotify or Apple Music in search of new talents. Also, write on Google the artists to look-out for in 2020-2021 with your country name.) If your pick is too famous, players and judges will deliberate it in the thread and you will have to change your pick. 

Your artist must also have started their career in your chosen country, but can be born elsewhere. For my example, using Rina Sawayama, she was born in Japan and she moved at the age of 5 in England. She started there, thus making her eligible for England, not Japan. To compare, let's pick Katy Perry. She was born in the USA and began in the USA, thus making her eligible for USA. On another example, let's go with Pabllo Vittar. She was born in Brasil and began in Brasil, thus making her eligible for Brazil. If you have questions surrounding your artist identity (which can sometimes be confusing), feel free to reach out to me to ask for legitimacy.

3 ➞ Select a bop

When looking around for artists, you will listen to a lot of music. Sometimes, you will find your artist first and then, search his discography. Nevertheless, this is the step of the selection of your bop.

Here, you will have to choose an original song performed by your artist to represent your country and win the contest. It can be in any languages, thus why it's global ... although, in all honesty, the most popular picks are usually English-spoken songs. Also, most of the time, people go for the bangers of the artists, while others prefers to go with a hidden gem. The only requirement is that there must be a music video with the said-bop. If you have a sickening song, usually, the artist made a sickening music video with it.

4 ➞ Reserve a date to perform

This step is very easy. About a week after the country reservation, it will be time to scheduled the performances. Each contestant will be able to decide when they will post during a 5-day period, meaning that for 5 days, 5 contestants (more or less, depending on the participation) will each publish their performance. You will have to decide on a poll when you prefer to do yours (availability, etc.) Friendly advice = The sooner you publish, the better the scores are usually. People forget about the last ones. We will only allow 4-5 person per day. Once again, first-come, first served.

FAME ROMANCE will be representing SOUTH AFRICA on September 1st.

LORDE VON KOK will be representing ENGLAND on September 2nd.

 

5 ➞ Prepare your performance

This is the best and most creative part of it. Think of it this way - the music video of your chosen bop is your performance. Have fun with it. Create additional pictures, gifs or any other visuals, write a storyline, or simply introduce us to your artist. You are free to do whatever comes to mind, and will have time to do so (around 1-2 weeks).

  6 ➞ Perform your bop

Today is your big day! It's your time to shine. You only have to post your performance and pray you please the public and judges. Very important step is to tag the contestants and the judges, to assure we can all witness your greatness. Also, it's recommended that you present why you choose the artist, why you choose the song and a little biography of the artist.
